“The Enigma of Communicable Diseases” + A Global Catastrophe + (Collaborative Activity) |

Communicable or infectious diseases are the type of illness that can spread from one person to another. Various studies show that these diseases are a major cause of death in South Asia especially in Indian peninsula, Bangladesh & Nepal and all over the world. The global pandemic is an example of such type of diseases; therefore Syna international school in association with the British council organized an activity in order to make the students aware of the various causes and preventive measure of communicable diseases. The subject activity was followed by a campaign and a skit so that the fellow colleagues can also be made aware about various preventive measures against acute diseases.
The activity aims to enlighten the students about various types of deadly diseases in India, Nepal and Bangladesh caused by microorganisms which can be proven as lethal for human race.
Students of class XI science worked in groups to collect the data about various communicable diseases which were proven to be epidemic within the last decade. They gathered data from Dr. Yashwant Verma, Civil Surgeon, Civil Hospital, Katni.
The student have gathered information from city municipal corporation and city government hospital regarding The mortality rate due to those diseases and subsequent vaccination programs for communicable disease.
With the kind permission and guidelines of our worthy principal Dr.Aditya Kumar Sharma and principal of DPS Birgunj Nepal Dr. B. D. Chaudhary; a seminar along with the power point presentation was conducted by the students of class XI in which Master Ujwal Raj student of collaborative school presented detailed information on various types of deadly diseases in India, Nepal and Bangladesh.
This was followed by chart preparation and a wonderful awareness campaign by the students of class IX.
The students learnt about life cycle of various pathogens causing endemic disease their symptoms and treatment. Meanwhile our students were in contact with students of DPS Birgunj NEPAL and further gathered information about communicable diseases in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Nepal and Bangladesh was chosen as the collaborative nation because we share the same kind of climatic variation and thus it will give our students a clear picture about the manifestations of a different diseases and their treatment.
